Easy DIY Pastel Chalk Paint Mason Jars
These pastel chalk paint mason jars are the perfect DIY project for spring.
You can use these for a cute storage solution in the kitchen or bathroom, or use them as vases to display some fresh spring blooms.
They’re so easy to make… let’s get started!
Supplies
- 3 Large Mason Jars
- Dollar Tree Pearl Beads
- Dollar Tree Jute Twine
- Scissors
- Light Sand Paper
- Paint Brush
- Waverly Ivory Chalk Paint
- Waverly Ballet Slipper Chalk Paint
- Waverly Mineral Chalk Paint
Instructions
Step 1: Paint one glass with the mineral, ivory and ballet slipper chalk paint using 2 coats.

Step 2: Allow for at least 20 minutes in between coats for the paint to fully dry.
Step 3: Once completely dry, use the light sandpaper to lightly sand where the lettering is on the mason jar. Optionally, you can sand some spots on the mason jar to make it look aged.

Step 4: Take the jute twine and leave about 5 inches on one end. Start wrapping the twine around the top of the jar several times.
Step 5: Leave 5 inches on the other end, and tie the twine and make a bow.
Step 6: Add 3 pearls onto each bow and double knot at the bottom.
Step 7: Optionally, add flowers and display!
